About John Skiba
I am the owner and founder of the Skiba Law Group, a consumer protection law firm dedicated to helping consumers fight back against aggressive creditors, debt collection lawsuits, and even bankruptcy. You can learn more about the Skiba Law Group by clicking HERE.
I am a graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas law school
I graduated from Brigham Young University. While I was there I was fortunate to play football for the BYU football team. I played guard on the offensive line and am proud to have been a member of the inaugural Mountain West Conference championship team. The fact that this is the first thing I mention when discussing my undergraduate work should tell you a lot about where my time was spent. Football was a full time job but I am proud to have graduated from BYU with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.
I am a graduate of The Student Loan Lawyer Workshop and am a member of the State Bar of Arizona, and am licensed to practice before all state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
I grew up in Utah and my wife was raised in the White Mountains of Arizona. My wife and I have six kids (yes, six!). Having a large family, I know that it takes a lot of work to keep the kids fed and a roof over everyone’s head. When I am not practicing law I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, following the BYU Cougar football team, and coaching the offensive line for the varsity football team at Benjamin Franklin High School in Queen Creek, Arizona.
About Jared Hadlock
Financial Adviser I am a financial adviser helping families with their retirement and investment needs. I specialize in portfolio management and educational planning. Helping others gain confidence in their financial future is something I find truly rewarding. I have worked with families and individuals who may have student loans and are concerned about the impact these may have on their retirement goals as well as their financial lives.
University of Phoenix/Apollo Education Group I began my career at University of Phoenix, where I worked as a Senior Financial Adviser. I won multiple awards during my time there. I spent the majority of my time teaching incoming students about the basics of financial aid and the student loan process. I felt it was especially important for students to fully understand the obligations they were taking on with respect to their student loans and prepare for their future. I then transitioned over to Apollo Education Group, which is the parent company to University of Phoenix. During this time I worked as a financial aid processor. During my time, I estimate I have certified over 10,000 different financial aid files. This experience has provided me with the context of gaining an extremely thorough understanding of how a student’s account is processed and certified for financial aid. There rarely is a type of situation I have not seen at this point and I have an extensive understanding of the financial aid process in general.
Masters of Business Administration I completed my MBA at University of Phoenix where I graduated with honors. I was invited into Delta Mu Delta, an International Honor Society in Business, and worked hard to achieve excellence in my studies. I also learned that everyone who is going to school has a unique story and their own reason for pursuing higher educational goals. Additionally I have a bachelor of science in business with an emphasis on finance and marketing. Professional Designation

This designation highlights some tax planning strategies that advisers may implement to help clients determine college financial planning strategies. Student loans play a large role in many clients’ financial lives and this designations allows me to demonstrate how to mitigate their subsequent impact.
I am currently enrolled in the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA) program with the College for Financial Planning and plan to extend my studies to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) by the end of this year. I have a deep interest in the financial markets. I trade the markets every day and I am consistently researching/implementing various investment strategies. My wife and I have 4 young kids whose ages range ages from 9 yrs. old – 4 months. We have 3 boys and a girl. We make our home in Queen Creek, Arizona and have done so for the last 7 years. We are actively engaged in our church and spend any extra time we may have at one of our children’s sporting events or activities.
